How to Order

First, figure out what you want done, how much it will cost, and how you will pay for the job. To help you determine the cost, you can either look over our Price List or send e-mail to sales@rivercityimageworks.com. If you send e-mail, our Sales Department will compute your cost and e-mail a quotation to you. We will also include a "pay by PayPal" link so you can send payment by that method if you wish. (Follow this link to the Questions & Answers page of the Photo Restoration Department for a discussion of credit cards and PayPal.) While we prefer payment by PayPal, you can send a certified check, money order, or personal check (although waiting for your personal check to clear may substantially delay your order). And please don't forget to check our Terms & Conditions page.

You then pack your precious recordings in a strong, secure box, with lots of padding, for shipment to us. For packing fragile 78 r.p.m. records, the following technique is recommended: (1) alternate records with a sheet or two of paper toweling; (2) place corrugated cardboard below and on top of the multiple-layered records and cushioning, sort of like a "ham and cheese sandwich"; (3) tape the "sandwich" together tightly; (4) place the "sandwich" in a strong cardboard box, cushioning the "sandwich" with lots of "bubble wrap" or "packing peanuts".

We recommend using an express company's Ground or 2nd Day Air service or US Postal Service Priority mail. We don't routinely recommend insuring the package, since your materials probably cannot easily be replaced and would consequently be difficult to value. Please be sure to enclose instructions about what needs to be done (which can be a printout of the e-mail quotation we send to you), along with your remittance.

Incidentally, do not worry about over-paying for our services; if you remit more than is called for, we immediately issue a PayPal credit or a refund check for the difference!

When we receive your package, we inspect the contents to see that all is in order and to verify that we understand the scope of the work to be done. (We reserve the right to turn down a project if the likelihood of successful completion within a reasonable time frame is in doubt.) If payment was not included with the order, we e-mail you a link to PayPal so that you can authorize payment immediately. We then begin work on your project.

When the job is completed, we securely wrap it and ship to you, via USPS/Priority Mail, UPS/Ground or other method you require.
